A buff within this range would almost certainly put us in mid-pack overall, which is where I would classify something as being fine. Had I done these rough calculations based on those parses as well, the gap would have been even larger on a handful of bosses.)įunnily enough, you do call for a 10-20% buff to the spec shortly after this statement, which I completely agree with (and Frost needs something as well, though probably not as much). (For clarity, I even chose to omit some Shadow Priest rankings and chose the next highest spec because they have such a lead in first place on some bosses as to qualify as outliers. Maybe you view that as a smaller impact than I do, but I find that to be a huge gap, and not one that I would call fine. I did a quick skim of Heroic 75th, Heroic 99th, and Mythic 99th percentile parses, and for the most part you aren’t wrong in the ballpark estimate of 3-4k, but that belies that it’s anywhere from a 13-20% difference in performance. I have to take issue with this part of your post (though I largely agree with the rest) because 3-4k sounds small, but it’s really not in the context of actual raid output and what other classes are doing. It is like 3-4k dps from the top if played perfectly. Need a way to spread them to other targets or just remove it completely.īut right now, in heroic raids, Unholy is doing fine. At least in theory, this would make them sick, in my opinion.Įdit: Not a fan of the festering wound thing. Unholy needs a 10-20% damage buff and/or what I wrote above. The M+ meta is brutal for any class not named Demon Hunter or Rogue. Unholy Blight should apply Necrotic Plague to the target that stacks up (just like in WoD).īut right now, in heroic raids, Unholy is doing fine. Unholy Blight should be paired with Death and Decay. The Legion ghouls that buff your stats and damage is really needed back, as well as them exploding without the need of an Azerite trait. Abomination dealing damage and spreading diseases is perfect and should be baseline. Bringing the whole Necromancer thing together. Only thing that would improve it further is getting Summon Gargoyle back as a baseline spell. IMO Unholy in PvP fits the fantasy to a tee. In raids, I am doing better than Frost in terms of the sustain game. I have to agree with Manarri in terms of M+. Started with pvp since it is doing very well in that aspect of the game. Unholy isn’t awful for M+, but it really struggles on Tyranical weeks due to its poor single target output without Army.īeen playing Unholy for about a couple months now. You may do fine in your raid group, but statistically Unholy is in a very poor state.
